Charles Burton-Chairman of the Board and PresidentMr. Burton is a co-founder and major shareholder of the Good Grains International Inc. and Chairman and President of the Good Grains of Minnesota Corporation. Mr. Burton has more than ten years direct experience in world trading, especially in Southeast Asia and Africa. He holds a B.A. from Macalester College with a major in East Asian Philosophy and taught Introduction to World Trade at St. Paul Vocational Institute. Mr. Burton is a member of the World Trade Association, Export Management Associates and has served on several Presidential Task Forces and agricultural, trade missions to the Philippines, Southeast Asia and Africa. He currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he is actively involved in the international grain commodities trading and processing industries. Mack Glover-Vice President, Domestic DevelopmentAn alumnus of Illinois State, Mr. Glover has over 20 years of management and sales experience. Mr. Glover's experience also includes founder the Unique Development Group, Managing Director for the Paragon Corporation, Consultant in strategic planning for Allicarn Corp. - an earth friendly grain corporation, and freelance writer for different subjects for various newspapers. A member of the Writer's Guild of America, Mr. Glover resides in Atlanta. He is married with 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Melvin Roberts-CFO, Secretary -TreasurerMr. Roberts has over 27 years experience in public and private sector management, with particular emphasis on financial and budget management. He also has strong expertise in program evaluation, contracting, strategic planning and managed health care. He is founder of ProActive Consulting Services, a consulting firm focusing on financial, business planning and taxation services to individuals and developing businesses. Mr. Roberts holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Taxation from the University of Northern Colorado and Southeastern University respectively. Most recently, he served as a mayoral appointee to the District of Columbia, Department of Health as interim Chief Operating Officer for this new organization. In this capacity, his responsibilities included management oversight of day-to-day operations, to include planning, development and management of the Department's $900 million budget. Henry Young-Vice President, International DevelopmentMr. Young has over 30 years experience in business finance and international business transaction. Agieb Bilal-Vice President, Agricultural DevelopmentMr. Bilal has been responsible for overall planning for a community-based development program in which he also secured $13M in investment funds to develop an 80,000 sq. ft. shopping center and a 110 single family home subdivision. He has also written grants and secured all funding for all organizational activities, conducted feasibility studies; packaged loans to small businesses, co-founded the Minnesota Center for Community Economic Development and served as consultant to the City of St. Paul as a member of the regional planning commission. Rashid Nuri-Vice President, MarketingMr. Nuri has had extensive national and overseas (over 20 foreign countries) agribusiness management roles in operations, banking, finance, economic analysis, trading, marketing, planning and development. Mr. Nuri received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his Master's in Plant and Soil Sciences from the University of Massachusetts. Part of Mr. Nuri's vast experience includes researching and managing the entry of CARGILL, Inc. to the Nigerian marketplace, supervising trading and warehousing from start up through the generation of over $50 million in revenues, and managing corn, wheat, sorghum, cotton seeds, cotton lint, palm kernel, palm kernel cake, cocoa, rubber and sugar. Mr. Nuri has been a long time member of the American Society of Agricultural Consultants. Susan A. Miller-Vice President, OperationsMs. Miller has over 25 years experience as an entrepreneur, a registered nurse and an executive in sales management and marketing, President of Samco, Inc. consulting and sales, medical and clean room equipment and supplies. She is the Principal of Miller-Miller & Associates, Inc., granite and marble applications for the building and commercial products trade, plumbing fixtures and supplies. Ms. Miller is a board member of the Medical Equipment Depot LLC, Inc., and actively involved in several agricultural, nutraceutical, biotech and international trading corporations. Ms. Miller is a resident of Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Jim Thompson-Vice President, Research & DevelopmentDr. Thompson obtained his Ph.D. at Rutgers University under Stephen S. Chang, Ph.D. in fats and oils. His industrial experience has spanned nearly 30 years with both large small companies e.g. General Mills, Multifoods, Old Home Foods and Basic American Foods. He has developed more than 200 products that have successfully competed in the marketplace. He has also developed specialty products for the animal industry. |
