Seed Division OperationsThe Seed Division's objective is to perform as a commercial seed company and to expand the inventories of quality seed available to its Feed, Industrial, and Retail Divisions, as well as to other farmers and commercial food manufacturers. It will do so by expanding the acreage committed to growing Sweet White Lupin and Triticale and by increasing the supply of high-quality certified seed to meet the rising demand through propagation and continuing research and development. The Division's primary marketing objectives will be to show the agricultural community the significant benefits and superior qualities of Sweet White Lupin and Triticale and to assure farmers there will be a profitable market for their produce. The two principal seed markets are in direct use sales, where farmers grow the crops for their own use, and the commercial market for farmers who grow the crop as an alternative cash crop for a variety of end users.
